Pantone's Colour of the Year - genius or disappointing?

Pantone's colour of the year has been announced, which is something we designers look forward to, and it's... blue. 🔵

Apparently it stands for tranquility, calm and confidence. Granted, we could use some of that in our lives right now, but we've had much more creative choices in the last few years.

Pantone's colour of the year is always great inspiration for us designers for branding, print and websites.
