Goodbye Grandad

Some non-business related news: next week we are saying goodbye to my wonderful Grandad.

I’ve posted about him before on our social pages. He ran an engineering business in St Neots for over 20 years (S.C. Cooke Engineering), becoming famous on Levellers Lane for being able to make or fix absolutely anything.

While I was setting up my first little sole-trader web design business he was a valuable source of information. Not just about accounting and the logistics of running a small business, but also dealing with things like imposter syndrome or tricky customer requests. As we grew, his advise became even more valuable.

Of course our relationship went beyond business, but I thought it was fitting to give him a mention here because without him Online Designs wouldn’t be where it is today. Thanks Grandad 💕
