Frequently Asked Questions

In this job, we always hear the same few questions popping up. We believe that getting a new website should be clear, straightforward, and not confusing. That's why I've detailed the answers to some of these questions below.

How do I even start choosing the right designer?

Good question - there's lots of us out there. However, it's actually quite easy. Different designers or agencies have specialities in completely different areas. Some only work with certain types of company - eg schools or plumbers. Some are huge agencies while some are individual freelancers. But most importantly, everyone has different styles. Make sure you check out and compare portfolios before you even think about pricing. For example, we specialise in small, local businesses and reflect this in our affordable pricing.

How much does a new website cost?

Again, it depends on the size of the project. We have set packages but we don't publish these publicly as we believe each project is unique and deserves thought and honest pricing. Price lists are too generic considering how unique your business is. We know cost is important and we're happy to quote after just a small bit of information - try filling in our Get a Quote form online.

Are there any hidden costs?

When choosing a web designer, make sure you check this. We've seen lots of designers charge a very low fee, but they don't include things like the mobile site, search engine optimisation or other essential work. You'd end up with a website that no-one can find unless you pay extra. Check everything is included, or at least ask to check the additional fees. As for us, it's all included, and our fees are still incredibly competitive due to our years of experience meaning we can work fast and still maintain a high standard.

How long does a new website take?

Depending on the size of the project, it can be anywhere between a couple of weeks to a few months. Our standard is 12 weeks, and we provide a full schedule which outlines the expectations and deadlines of each stage - so that you can relax and get on with running your business!

How much input do you need from the customer?

Some people choose to be very involved during the whole design process, and some prefer to take a back seat and let us do our thing. We don't mind either way! You're the expert in your field, so at the very least we'll need input in the way of text content and images, and a few design ideas.

How do I give you a website brief?

We try to make the process as simple as possible. We have a short questionnaire you can fill out online after the initial meeting. If you have detailed ideas or direction then great - if not then we love working from a blank slate!

What happens afterwards? Do you offer hosting?

After your website is finished, you will get to choose between two monthly packages. Included in both options is a hosting package on a reliable server with over 99.9% uptime. You also get our IT technician Shaun on hand for the year if you have any technical questions.

Do I need a domain name?

You will, and we're happy to sort this out for you. We're also happy to recommend registrars if you'd rather purchase it yourself.

Will I be able to make changes to the website myself?

If you specifically need to manage your own content, let us know and we can sort it out for you. Our platform also comes with a great set of business tools which you're welcome to use. We're happy to assist at any time!
